While the applicant is at the badging office, they need to answer a series of questions
regarding their involvement with certain types of offenses that the airport deems serious enough
to disqualify their application.
What you should know
Each airport can decide what offenses are considered serious enough to disqualify a
person from being employed at the airport. The list of questions that the applicant must
answer are set up in
Config
Tool, in the ABS
role's
Properties page.
NOTE: This statement is generally required of all
airline employees, or if the applicant is requesting the
SIDA privilege. Some individuals, such as law enforcement officers and TSA
employees, are exempt.
Procedure

From the Airport badging management task, select the
applicant's name from the list of companies and employees.
To search for an employee, click
at the bottom of the
list and use the
Search dialog box.

Click the Disqualifying
criteria tab.

Go through the list of Disqualifying crimes and ask the
applicant the following questions for each:
- Have you ever pleaded guilty of no contest to <crime description>?
- Have you ever had adjudication withheld for <crime description>?
- Have you ever been convicted of <crime description>?
- Have you ever been accused of <crime description> but found not guilty by reason
of insanity?
Select
Yes if the answer is yes for any of the questions
listed earlier.
Alternatively, if a paper form is used, you can transfer their answers
on the paper form to this page.

If the answer is yes for any of the disqualifying crimes, you can decide to immediately
disqualify the applicant.
To immediately disqualify an applicant:

Click the Security checks tab.

Select STA and click Edit security
check ().

In the dialog box that opens, click .

Click Save.
The selected applicant's status changes to Terminated in
the list of companies and employees of the left.
After you finish
If the applicant is not disqualified,
proceed to the security checks.
