When an employee no longer works at the airport, or if their badge is lost, you should
revoke their badge to prevent it from being misused.
What you should know
When you revoke a badge, you deactivate the associated credential indefinitely. You
also have the option to deactivate the cardholder at the same time. When you reactivate the
badge, the cardholder is automatically reactivated.
Procedure
-
From the Airport badging management task, select the
applicant's name from the list of companies and employees.
To search for an employee, click
at the bottom of the
list and use the
Search dialog box.
-
Click the Badges tab.
-
In the Credentials section, select the badge
(Company and Badge type) you
want.
-
At the bottom of the screen, click and then
click Change badge status ().
-
In the dialog box that opens, click Status and select
Revoked.
-
Click Revocation reason and select the reason.
-
Select Cardholder if you want to deactivate the cardholder at
the same time.
-
Select Returned if the employee has returned the
badge.
-
Click OK.
After a few seconds, the status of the badge changes to
Revoked. The cardholder (if selected) and the credential
associated to the badge are deactivated at the same time.
-
(Optional) To check the cardholder and credential status, click Manage
cardholders, find the cardholder in the cardholder list, select it and click
Modify ().
The cardholder details window opens. The cardholder (if selected) and the
credential should be
Inactive. If the cardholder has two
credentials, the second one is not affected.
