When an airport employee is suspended or on a prolonged sick leave, you can suspend their badge to prevent it from being misused.

What you should know

When you revoke a badge, you deactivate the credential associated to that badge.

Procedure

  1. From the Airport badging management task, select the applicant's name from the list of companies and employees.
To search for an employee, click at the bottom of the list and use the Search dialog box.
  2. Click the Badges tab.
  3. In the Credentials section, select the badge (Company and Badge type) you want.
  4. At the bottom of the screen, click and then click Change badge status ().
  5. In the dialog box that opens, click Status and select Suspended.

  6. (Telos only) Click Suspension reason and select the reason.
  7. Indicate how long the badge should be suspended.
Select Indefinite or enter the Reactivation date.
  8. Select Returned if the employee has returned the badge.
  9. Click OK.
After a few seconds, the status of the badge changes to Suspended. The credential associated to the badge is deactivated at the same time.

  10. (Optional) To check the credential status, click Manage credentials, find the credential in the credential list, select it and click Modify ().
Note that the credential name is employee's first and last name, followed by the company name, followed by the badge type.
The credential details window opens. The credential status should be Inactive. If you suspended the badge indefinitely, the activation date should indicate Never. The following screen capture is an example. Your layout might look different depending on the custom fields you have and how you decided to group them.
