Before you can determine which cardholder fields to apply to cardholders, you must
configure templates in Config Tool.
What you should know
- Templates cannot alter custom fields that are set to
Read-only.
- Values configured in the template replace existing cardholder values when the template
is applied.
- Templates are not visible to operators who do not have visibility to the partition where
the plugin resides.
Procedure

From the Config
Tool home page, open the
Plugins task.

In the Plugins task, select Genetec™ Enhanced Cardholder
Management from the entity browser, and then click the Cardholder
templates tab.

Below the templates list, click Add (
).

In the Template name field, enter a name for your
template.

(Optional) To enable cardholder groups, turn the Cardholder
groups slider to ON, click Add

), select
which cardholder groups you want to use, and then click OK.

(Optional) To select a printable badge template to use with the cardholder template,
turn the Badge template slider to ON, click
the drop-down menu, select which badge template you want to use, and then click
OK.

(Optional) To set an expiration date for the cardholder, turn the
Expires slider to ON, set the template
expiration, and then click OK.

(Optional) To enable custom fields, turn the Custom fields
slider to ON, click Add a custom field,
select which custom field you want to use, and then click OK.
NOTE: You can add more custom fields by clicking
Add a custom field
and selecting custom fields again.
You can remove one or more custom fields from the
template by clicking delete (
) for each custom field you want
to delete, or by clicking Remove all to clear all custom fields
from the template.

Click Apply.
