Instead of using the default self-signed certificate generated by the Genetec™ Intrusion Protocol extension, you can use a custom certificate on your hub.

What you should know

  • Using a custom certificate is optional.
  • Changing the certificate will disconnect your Genetec™ Intrusion Bridge from the hub. The connection will be restored when the certificate thumbprint is cleared.

Procedure

  1. In Windows, navigate to C:\ProgramData\Genetec Security Center\IntrusionExtensions\GIP, and open the certificate.json file.
  2. Change the thumbprint of the certificate to a certificate installed on the machine.
  3. In Config Tool, open the Intrusion detection task, and restart the Intrusion Manager role.
  4. Reset the certificate thumbprint of your hub.
