The Genetec™ Intrusion Protocol is an extension that enables Security Center to connect to third-party intrusion panels from one or more manufacturers, so they can be centrally monitored, controlled, and reported on.

The Genetec™ Intrusion Protocol extension allows you to do the following:
  • Add and monitor supported third-party intrusion panels in Security Center.
  • Support hybrid deployment of intrusions panels and monitor them using an on-premise or SaaS version of Security Center.
  • Map intrusion panels to Security Center intrusion detection units.
  • Create actions for events that are sent from the panel.
  • Generate reports on activities and events related to intrusion detection areas and intrusion detection units.
  • Attach cameras to intrusion detection areas to view recorded video associated with events and alarms from the panel.
Using Security Desk, operators can monitor, investigate, and control the intrusion detection units.
  • Monitor intrusion detection area and intrusion detection unit state changes.
  • Monitor intrusion detection areas using Plan Manager.
  • Receive and monitor events and alarms from intrusion panels.
  • Manually arm and disarm the intrusion detection areas defined on your panel in Security Desk using the intrusion detection area widget.
  • Silence alarms on intrusion detection areas in Security Desk using the intrusion detection area widget.
  • Trigger hot actions.
  • Monitor the status of entities in your system using the System status task.
  • Investigate past events from the entities in your system using the Intrusion detection area activities or Intrusion detection unit events tasks.
NOTE: To better understand the features supported by the Genetec™ Intrusion Protocol and the panels that you want to enroll, consult the release notes.
