If you need to ingest ALPR data from on-premisis Macq cameras that support the QCam5 protocol, you must configure a Macq QCam5 API data source. In this integration, the Genetec™ Third-Party ALPR is seen as a Central Macq M3 by the Macq camera.

Before you begin

  • Add Macq cameras to your system.
  • Ensure you have access to the QCam toolbox for the relevant Macq cameras.

Procedure

  1. Enable data source by activating the Enabled check box.
  2. Enter a name for the data source.
  3. Define a REST port for the data source.
Tip: The default port is 443.
  4. In the Web SDK host field, enter the name of the host used for Security Center authentication.
NOTE: This should be the same IP address as the directory, unless the Security Center configuration was modified and the Web SDK is running on a different server.
  5. In the Web SDK port field, define the port used for Security Center authentication.
Tip: The default port is 443.
  6. If your authentication type is local, select the Allow self signed certificates check box.
  7. To learn more about the API used to configure this data source, activate the Activate API documentation checkbox and click the API documentation link.
  8. Click Apply.
