If you want to send ALPR data to a database, you must configure a database data sink.
Before you begin
What you should know
- A database server is an application that manages databases and handles data requests made by client applications. Security Center uses Microsoft SQL Server as its database server.
- The Genetec™ Third-Party ALPR plugin database can be used to store reads and hits so that they can be viewed in the Security Center Reads and Hits task.
- The database sink should not be used to ingest data from Sharp cameras.
-
Tip: For example, create two database data sinks of the following varieties:
- Plugin REST API: including reads and images
- ALPR ingestion service and plugin REST API: including hits and images
Procedure
- Click Add ().
- Select the Database sink type and click Confirm.
- Select the Enabled check box.
- Select the sources from which you want to collect data.
- Assign a name to the data sink.
- Choose to include a combination of reads, hits, images, and thumbnails in this data sink.
- In the Interval field, define a time period after which the data sink will search the data source for new data.
- In the Retries field, determine the number of times the data sink will attempt to ingest data from sources after a failure has occurred.
- In the Batch size field, determine how many reads, hits, images, and thumbnails to include in each data offload.
- Click Apply.
