Before the plugin can ingest data from your network of third-party on-premises cameras, you must configure a plugin REST API data source.

Before you begin

Create the plugin role.

Procedure

  1. In the ALPR reads API section, select the Enabled check box if you want the plugin to ingest reads from cameras that connect directly to this endpoint.
  2. Enter a name for the integration.
  3. (Optional) If you want to use multiple instances of Genetec™ Third-Party ALPR with different endpoints, configure a prefix in the API path prefix field.
  4. In the REST port section, define a port number.
    Tip: The port most commonly used is 443.
  5. In the WebSDK host, enter your WebSDK host.
  6. In the WebSDK port, enter your WebSDK port.
  7. If your authentication type is local, select the Allow self signed certificates check box.
  8. To learn more about the API used to configure this data source, activate the Activate API documentation checkbox, click Apply, and then click the API documentation link.
  9. The Effective address field, shows the path used to send ALPR reads to the plugin.
    NOTE: The default value is https://<hostname>/api/v1/lpr/Lpringestion/reads.
  10. Click Apply.
