The Genetec™ Third-Party ALPR plugin is a software package you can use to manage ALPR cameras in Security Center.

Administrator tasks using Config Tool

Features included in the plugin include the following:
  • Reads and their associated images can be ingested from third party systems using the ALPR Ingestion Service. The plugin polls the data service and processes all new reads as they are found.
  • Reads can be sent directly to the plugin REST API using the HTTPS protocol.
  • Reads from AutoVu™ Sharp cameras can also be processed and shared with downstream consumers using data sinks.
  • All reads are checked against Security Center-managed hot lists and hits are generated.
  • The Security Desk Hits and Reads tasks show Sharp reads and hits in addition to reads and hits from third party cameras.
  • Cameras that provide location information can be automatically placed on Plan Manager maps.
  • Security Center event-to-action can be configured for third party hits and reads. This behavior is the same as for Sharp reads.
To accomplish these goals the plugin server is split into three major components:
  • Ingress (data sources): all data is converted from the incoming data model to the Third-Party ALPR plugin ALPR read data model.
  • Processing: data is normalized and then processed to check for hits and plan manager mapping.
  • Egress (data sinks): data is sent so that it can be used with Security Center features and shared with third party partners.
