Configure a Flock Safety hits data source so that the Third-Party ALPR plugin can ingest ALPR data from Flock Safety systems.
What you should know:
- You must configure your Flock Safety system before configuring the Flock Safety data source.
- After you have configured the Flock Safety data source, contact your Genetec delivery team contact.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Select a name for the data source that identifies where license plate data is coming from. |
| Raise 'no data' events | Set the time threshold after which a custom Security Center event is triggered if no data is received from the specified data source. For more information, refer to Creating event-to-actions. |
| Anonymized raw data logging | Select this setting to make the data source log raw data with the license plate
anonymized. NOTE: Raw data consists of the exact and
unprocessed data that is received from the relevant camera or API. Some private
fields are still anonymized for privacy reasons.
|
| Authorized client ID | Provide the client ID that is authorized to send license plates hits to the data
source. This must match the Client ID provided by Flock Safety. NOTE: Flock Safety posts hits and, for each post, there is an
authorization token. That token contains this client ID. Matching the client ID
provided by Flock Safety with what is configured in the plugin guarantees that only
hits from authorized sources are accepted.
|
| Maximum message rate | Configure the maximum number of messages the data source is permitted to process
in one second. Tip:
|
| API documentation | Select whether the plugin enables an endpoint to access the API documentation and displays a link to the API. This feature should be disabled in production environments. |
| Effective address | Enter the full path listed in the Flock Safety subscription that is used to send hits to the Third-Party ALPR plugin. |
| Advanced settings | |
| REST port | Configure the port where the REST API listens for requests. The default port is 443. |
| Token issuer | Configure the token issuer Flock Safety is using when sending license plate hits. Only modify this field if you are not using the Genetec token provider. |
| Token audience | Configure the audience required for the token to call the endpoint. Only modify this field if you are not using the Genetec token provider. |
| Categories to ignore | Select the hotlist and category combinations defined in your Flock Safety system that you want to ignore license plate hits from. |
