You can use the configuration wizard to efficiently set up data sources and data sinks that suit most use cases.

What you should know

  • Using a data source, all data is converted from the incoming data model to the Third-Party ALPR plugin ALPR read data model.
  • Using a data sink, data is sent so that it can be used with Security Center features and shared with third party partners.
  • When combined with data sinks, plugin data sources send read and hit data, as well as images, to the cloud and archive servers.

Procedure

  1. In the Quick configuration section, click Launch configuration wizard.
  2. From the Sources and features page, select the data sources, data sinks, and processing methods you require, and then click Next.
  3. From the Data storage page, navigate to the Image storage section and define the location and parameters used to store image data.
  4. From the Database cleanup section, define the data retention time periods that apply to the data sources and data sinks you are configuring, and then click Next.
  5. From the Summary page, verify that the changes to data sinks and sources are correct, and then click Apply.
NOTE: You can deactivate data sources and data sinks using the configuration wizard by deselecting the relevant items from the configuration wizard Sources and features page.
