Genetec™ Update Service 2.9 includes the following known limitations.
| Issue | Description |
|---|---|
| 215198 | GUS versions 2.2.160.0 and earlier can’t communicate with GUS proxy versions 2.8.179.0 and later, and must be updated manually. |
| 191766 | To communicate properly with Security Center, GUS no longer retrieves the Server Admin password from the Security Center configuration files. GUS requires the Server Admin password to be configured in the Settings tab. |
| 76364 | Omnicast™ Compatibility Packs are no longer updated during a Security Center upgrade. |
| 72297 | Transport Layer Security (TLS) versions 1.0 and 1.1 are no longer supported. |
| 3117426 | GUS requires Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 protocol for communication. If TLS 1.3 is enabled on an Operating System that doesn’t support 1.3 natively, GUS won’t work. |
| 2484173 | GUS no longer supports Internet Explorer version 11 and earlier. |
| 1058855 | You can’t use a Genetec Update Service (GUS) 2.1.654.1 or later as a proxy with any GUS 2.1.8.0 and earlier. |
| 1354995 | If you use the GUS Service User feature to install Security Center, you can’t use double quotation marks in the password. |
| 1609560 | Run GUS under a Local System Account for versions before 2.2.11.1. Workaround: If you aren’t running under a Local System Account, see Cannot update GUS when running under a Service
User.
|
| 1706276 | Upgrading the secondary server using GUS requires some manual steps. Workaround: For more information, see Upgrading secondary server with GUS.
