Upgrading your secondary server with Genetec™ Update Service (GUS) requires some manual steps.

Before you begin

Ensure you have the correct license for the number of servers on your system.

Procedure

  1. Stop the Genetec™ Server service on your secondary server.
  2. Upgrade your main Directory server manually or with GUS.
  3. Update your license in Server Admin.
  4. Verify that the system is operating normally before continuing.
  5. Start the Genetec Server service on your secondary server.
  6. Upgrade Security Center on your secondary server manually or with GUS.
  7. In Config Tool, update the license to include all your servers.
