In the Genetec™ Web App, you can monitor video and view events as if they were in a fixed time zone or as if you were in the time zone of the event.

What you should know

  • Settings are saved per user. For example, administrators might display all times for UTC-5 (EST), whereas operators might display all times according to the time set on their computer (their local system time).

Procedure

  1. From the vertical menu, click Options ().
  2. From the Options dialog box, click the General tab.

  3. Select a time zone setting:
    Use device's time zone
    Choose this option to display and interpret time according to each device’s local time zone. Select this option to display and interpret the local time of each device.
    Use specific time zone
    Choose this option to select a time zone to display and interpret time according to a fixed time zone. For example: (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada).
  4. (Optional) To add time zone abbreviations to all time stamps, select Display time zone abbreviations.
  5. Click Save.
