Answer: Yes, Security Center supports multiple instances of the Genetecâ„¢ Web App. This allows groups of users to have access to different sets of features.

Solution

For each instance of the Genetec Web App that you want to deploy, you must create and configure a new Web Server role:

  1. From the Config Tool homepage, open the System task and click the Roles view.
  2. Create a new Web Server role.
  3. Click the Properties tab of the new Web Server role.
  4. Configure the Basic settings section:
    1. In the Application path field, enter a name for the segment.
    2. Clear the Use the default secure HTTP port of the server option.
    3. In the HTTPS port field, enter a port number.

      This port number must be different than the port number used by other Web Server roles.

  5. In the Features section, select the features for the instance of the Genetec Web App.

  6. Click Apply.

What to do next: To access the new instance of the Genetec Web App, enter the URL from the Basic settings section in a web browser.
