If you cannot use the Genetec™ Update Service to keep the Genetec™ Web App up to date, you can perform the update manually.

What you should know

  • The update must be completed on the server that hosts your Security Center Web Server role.
  • Although it is possible to update your Genetec Web App manually, we recommend using the Genetec Update Service. For more information, see About the Genetec Update Service.
  • Users might experience a short downtime while the Genetec Web App updates.
  • Updating the Genetec Web App does not affect Security Center.

Procedure

  1. Open the GTAP Product Download page.
  2. From the Download Finder list, select your version of Security Center.
  3. In the Web App section, click Package Download () and save the file to your local system.
  4. Click the downloaded .exe file to extract it.
    By default, the file is extracted to C:\Genetec.
  5. Open the extracted folder, right-click the Genetec Web App Setup.exe, and click Run as Administrator.
  6. Follow the installation instructions.
  7. On the Installation Wizard Completed page, click Finish.
    Your Genetec Web App is now up to date.
