Answer: You can use H.264 and MJPEG to stream video in Genetec™ Web App.
For H.264 streaming, the browser must be configured to support H.264/avc3 in its media
source extension. H.264 video streams are not transcoded, but are transmitted directly from
the camera to the Genetec Web App video player.
The input stream to the Media Gateway is always H.264 at 15 FPS at different resolutions such as 320x240, 640x480, 1280x720, and 1920x1080.
When the Media Gateway transcodes the stream to MJPEG, the stream is at 8 FPS and the same resolution as the original stream or lower.
