Answer: The Genetec™ Web App requires a secure HTTPS channel that uses the standard TCP port 443. This enables all communication between the machine that runs the Genetec Web App and the machine that hosts the Web Server role.
If your IT policy requires different ports or there is some sort of conflict, you can
change the ports used.
Port 443 is set to use HTTPS with a self-signed certificate. A certificate error is displayed in your web browser until you install a certificate on the Security Center machine that hosts the Web Server role. The certificate must be signed by a Certificate Authority, such as VeriSign.
