Answer: If the Web Server role is online but accessing the Genetec™ Web App pages returns an HTTP error 404 message, you must restart the role.

Solution

Restart the Web Server role running the Genetec Web App:

  1. From the Config Tool homepage, open the System task and click the Roles view.
  2. Right-click the Web Server role and select Maintenance > Deactivate role.
  3. To reactivate the role, right-click again and select Maintenance > Activate role.
  4. Refresh your web page.
