When configuring the areas of a panel, you can choose how events reported by an area are presented in Security Center, assign custom events to the armed and disarmed events, set up badging to arm and disarm areas, and assign cameras to areas.

On the Areas tab, the following sections let you choose how incoming events are treated in Security Center and allow you to define badging rules. You can configure any or all of these settings depending on your needs.

Alarms
Map Security Center alarms to input events so that when an event occurs, selected recipients receive an alarm and see video from linked cameras in the Alarms monitoring task. You can either create an alarm from this page or choose an existing alarm.
NOTE: Alarms are linked to recipients and cameras.
Custom events
Link Security Center custom events to area events.
Badging
Select the number of times a user must present an access key or badge at the reader to arm and disarm the area.
