You can upgrade Honeywell Galaxy intrusion panel extension from version 3.0 directly to version 3.2.0.

Before you begin

  1. Read the release notes to learn about important information for this release.
  2. Confirm that your versions of Security Center, the Honeywell Galaxy intrusion panel, and the extension are compatible.

What you should know

  • You cannot upgrade directly from the add-on previously included with Security Center. Panels using the legacy add-on must be re-enrolled and configured with the new extension.
  • You can upgrade directly from any earlier version of the extension to the latest version.
  • The extension must be upgraded on all Security Center client and server computers.
  • An upgrade keeps your current entities and their configuration, and all event notifications.
  • The Directory database contains all your entities.
  • The Intrusion Manager database contains all your event notifications.

Procedure

To upgrade from Honeywell Galaxy intrusion panel extension 3.1 to 3.2.0:

  1. Stop the Genetecâ„¢ Server service, and then close Security Desk and Config Tool.
  2. Install the latest version of the plugin.
  3. Deactivate the Intrusion Manager role, and then activate it.
    The extension is ready for use.

To upgrade from Honeywell Galaxy intrusion panel extension 3.0 to 3.2.0:

  1. Stop the Genetec Server service, and then close Security Desk and Config Tool.
  2. From the Windows Program and Features, uninstall the extension.
  3. Install the latest version of the plugin.
    The extension is ready for use.
