Installing the patch release

The patch release must be installed on all Security Center computers that have the Server or Client installed, unless otherwise specified by Genetec Inc.

Before you begin

Ensure that the Security Center version installed on your system is from the same major version as the patch release and that you have administrator privileges. A major version is indicated by a version number with zeros at the third and fourth positions: X.Y.0.0.

    1. Click > Technical Assistance > Product Download.
    2. From the Download Finder list, select Security Center.
    3. Select either the minor version for your patch release, or All Builds. If you select the minor version, only the patches for that minor version are displayed in the Cumulative Updates section. If you select All Builds, all cumulative updates for the major version are displayed.
    4. In the Cumulative Updates section, download the Security Center v [patch release version] package.
  2. Exit from all Genetec™ applications.
