To import cardholder and visitor information in Security Desk by scanning their driver's license or passport, you must configure the ID Scanner plugin in Security Desk by selecting which fields to extract from the documents, and then mapping those fields to cardholder and visitor fields in Security Center.

Before you begin

If you want to map the document fields to custom cardholder or visitor fields, you must first create the custom fields in Config Tool.

Procedure

  1. From the home page in Security Desk, click Options > ID Scanner.
  2. In the Field extraction section, select which document fields you want to extract using an ID scanner.
  3. From the Cardholder and Visitor columns in the Custom field association section, select the custom fields in Security Center to which you want to map the additional document fields to.

  4. Click Add () to add another scanner.
  5. Complete the required fields in the Add scanner window.
  6. Click Save.
