The ID Scanner plugin integrates ID scanners with Security Center, so that users can import cardholder and visitor information in Security Desk by scanning their passport or driver's license.
You can use the plugin to do the following:
- Scan North American driver's licenses from Security Desk
- Scan passports from Security Desk
- Map driver's license and passport fields to cardholder and visitor fields in Security Desk
- Import cardholder and visitor information by scanning the AAMVA PDF417 barcode of a driver's license, or the Machine Readable Zone (MRZ) of a passport or other travel document
- Use the cardholder or visitor's driver's license or passport picture as their picture in Security Center
