After you have configured ID Scanner, you can create cardholders or visitors in Security Desk by scanning their identification document.

What you should know

Scanner connection status is updated only when a new scanner is selected. Any scanners connected after the scanning window is open are not detected. To show the new scanners, close the scan window, and then reopen it.

Procedure

  1. From the home page in Security Desk, open the Cardholder management or the Visitor management task.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • To create a new cardholder or visitor, click Create new cardholder/visitor ().
    • To modify an existing cardholder or visitor, select the entity, and then click Modify ().
  3. In the cardholder or visitor configuration dialog box, click ID Scanner ().

  6. If necessary, rotate the document in the Picture or Document fields.
  7. Click OK > Save and close.
