You must select the Network Interface Card (NIC) on the plugin server so that the BACstac Protocol service can communicate with the BACnet devices.

What you should know

  • By default, the BACstac Protocol service is configured to use any NIC.
  • The BACnet plugin requires the BACstac Protocol to communicate with the BACnet devices in your network.

Procedure

  1. Locate the BACstac configuration application (baccfg.bat).
By default, it is in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Cimetrics\BACstac v6.8c folder.
  2. Double-click baccfg.bat to run the application.
  3. Select the default NIC entry from the list, and then click Edit.
  4. In the Address section, select the adapter that corresponds to the NIC that the BACstac service will use to communicate with BACnet devices.
  5. Click OK.
  6. In Config Tool, restart the BACnet plugin so that the changes are applied.
