You can update Genetec™ Time Series and RabbitMQ configuration for all Industrial IoT protocols in the Properties page.

Before you begin

Make sure you have RabbitMQ and Genetec™ Time Series installed. For more information see Downloading and installing the Industrial IoT plugin.

Procedure

To update RabbitMQ configuration for Industrial IoT plugin:

  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Plugins task.
  2. Select the Industrial IoT plugin role from the entity browser and click the Properties tab.
  3. In the RabbitMQ section, enter the following:
    Host
    The hostname or the IP address of the RabbitMQ broker.
    Port
    The port number for RabbitMQ broker.
    Username
    Username for RabbitMQ broker.
    Password
    Password for RabbitMQ broker.
  4. Click Apply.
    RabbitMQ configuration has been updated.

To update Genetec™ Time Series configuration for Industrial IoT plugin:

  1. In the Time Series section, configure the Collect data toggle and enter the number days in the Retention field according to your requirement.
  2. Expand the Time Series advanced settings section and enter the following:
    Host
    The hostname or the IP address of Time Series.
    Port
    The port number for RabbitMQ broker.
    Data transmission interval
    The time interval between consecutive requests on device data points.
    Configuration retry interval
    The time interval when the updated configuration for Time Series service would come into effect.
  3. Click Apply.
    Time Series configuration has been updated.
