Before you can use the Industrial IoT plugin, you must update your Security Center license to include a certificate for this plugin. To update your license, contact us and provide the part numbers listed in this topic.

IMPORTANT: Prior to version 5.0.0.0, the license was based on the number of data points you could monitor. Starting from version 5.0.0.0, the license is based on the number of protocols that you can use. The number of data points you can monitor is unrestricted. If you were using multiple protocols before, your new license must reflect the number of different protocols you are allowed to activate at the same time.
In Security Center 5.9 and later, There are two places you should look to verify your license. In the Config Tool About page, License > Certificates > Industrial IoT tells you how many Industrial IoT plugin roles you can have in your system, and License > Custom > Industrial IoT Protocols tells you how many protocols you can use.

If you had license parts for additional data points in your previous installation, you must replace these with updated licence parts. For more information regarding licenses, or if you receive a licensing error, contact GTAC at https://gtap.genetec.com.

Does your Security Center license include all the options you need?

In addition to a certificate for your plugin, ensure that your Security Center license includes all the options you expect to use in Security Center. For example, if you integrated a system that has visitors, you need the Visitors option in Security Center. If an option is missing, an error message is displayed when the server tries to create or modify the entity related to that option.

For a list of available license options, see License options in Security Center.
