To upgrade your IoT-related plugins to version 5.0.2.0, you must first upgrade the Industrial IoT plugin role to 5.0.2.0. Then, if you have any legacy plugin roles (BACnet, Modbus, OPC Client, and SNMP Manager), migrate devices they manage to the new Industrial IoT plugin role before deleting them.

- Confirm that your versions of Security Center and the plugin are compatible.
What you should know
- Industrial IoT version 4.4.1.0 and later can be upgraded using the Industrial IoT 5.0.2.0 installation package. If you have an earlier version of these products, contact technical support.
- The plugin must be upgraded on all Security Center client and server computers.
- An upgrade preserves your current devices and entities and their configuration, and all event notifications.
- The plugin database contains all your entities and plugin configuration, such as
rules.NOTE: Starting from 5.0, you only need one plugin role and one database for all the IoT protocols you need. If you were using one of the legacy plugins (BACnet, Modbus, OPC Client, and SNMP Manager), you must migrate their content to the new Industrial IoT database.
