For the BACstac service to communicate with the BACnet devices, you must select the network interface card (NIC) on the plugin server.

What you should know

  • By default, the BACstac service is configured to use any NIC.
  • The BACnet plugin requires the BACstac servcice to communicate with the BACnet devices on your network.

Procedure

  1. Find the BACstac configuration application (baccfg.bat).
    By default, it is in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Cimetrics\BACstac v6.8c folder.
  2. Double-click baccfg.bat to run the application.
  3. Select the default NIC entry from the list, and then click Edit.
  4. In the Address section, select the adapter that corresponds to the NIC that the BACstac service should use to communicate with BACnet devices.
  5. Click OK.
  6. In Config Tool, restart the Industrial IoT plugin.
