Testing write actions on data points - Industrial IoT 5.2.0.0 | BACnet | Modbus | OPC Client | SNMP Manager

After adding a data point to a BACnet, Modbus, MQTT or OPC UA device, you can write a value to the data point to ensure it works.

1. From the Config Tool homepage, open the Plugins task.
2. Expand the plugin role in the entity browser.
3. Select device or an entity, and open its Properties page.
4. In the Data points section, select a data point and click Write.
   The Write dialog box opens.
5. In the Value field, enter a new value and click Write.
6. Click Close.
