After you exported a device type as a .JSON file, it can be imported into different Security Center systems that are also using the Industrial IoT plugin role.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Security Center system you where you want to import the device type.
  2. From the Config Tool homepage, open the Plugins task.
  3. Select the Industrial IoT plugin role and click the Device types tab.
  4. In the Device types section, click Import.
  5. Select the .JSON file you want and click Open > OK.

Results

The imported device type is added to the list of device types on the Device types page of the plugin.
