Architecture diagram for Industrial Protocol Interface integration
Components of Industrial Protocol Interface integration
- Industrial Protocol Interface
- The Industrial Protocol Interface plugin is installed on a Security Center server and runs as a plugin role. The plugin is used to expose parts of Security Center to external BACnet and SMNP managers.
- Config Tool
- The Industrial Protocol Interface plugin is also installed on a Config Tool workstation. The Security Center administrator uses Config Tool to create and configure the plugin role, and to forward Security Center events using supported protocols.
- Security Desk
- The Industrial Protocol Interface plugin does not require Security Desk.
