Industrial Protocol Interface plugin supports database encryption and you can enable
database security settings in Config
Tool.
Before you begin
Make sure you have the required settings configured for SQL services to enable database
encryption and security certificate validation. For more information see,

From the Config
Tool home page, open the
Plugins task.

Select the <plugin role> from the entity browser and click the
Resources tab.

In the Database security section enable the Encrypt
connection and Validate certificate options.

Click Apply.
Database security settings are configured.
