[KBA-00149] Archiver Crashes Constantly with nVidia Network Access Manager

This article will explain why the nVidia Network Access Manager does not allow Multicast communication even when disabled.

Summary

The nvidia Network Access Manager is a firewall, and even if it is disabled, installs a driver which interferes with all the network calls to either authorize or refuse a connection. Even when the service is not running, Multicast network calls will be refused, causing the archiver to crash.

More Information

To verify if this is the issue you are having, insert 0.0.0.0 in the Resource Administration Tool as the Multicast IP address and chose Unicast UDP as the connection type between the archiver and unit in the Config Tool. If the archiver no longer crashes, there is an issue with your network card.

The only way to resolve this issue is to uninstall the nvidia Network Access Manager.
