To manage Key Systems Security Asset Manager cabinets in Security Center, you must connect to them, and then import its assets, cardholders, and cardholder groups.

Before you begin

  • Connect the plugin to a local or remote proxy.
  • Verify that the cabinet you are integrating is supported.
  • Open the web interface of the cabinet to obtain its settings information. For information on how to access this, consult your Key Systems documentation.
  • When adding a cabinet to Security Center, its information is entered into a wizard. The settings cannot be edited after it is added, and therefore must be entered correctly. Otherwise, you must delete the cabinet and start over.
  • IMPORTANT: Physically return all assets to their cabinets before enrolling the cabinet in Security Center. Otherwise, the plugin might not function as expected.
  • IMPORTANT: Acknowledge any existing alarms on the cabinet. This can be verified on the Main page of the cabinet's web interface.

What you should know

  • The proxy that the cabinet is connected to must have network access to the cabinet.
  • The cabinet must be online and not connected to any other software when the connection to the plugin is established.
  • CAUTION:
After adding the cabinet to Security Center, the plugin takes over management of the cabinet. This results in the following:
    • Changes to cabinet settings.
    • The cabinet time is set to the time in Security Center.
