To connect the Key Systems Security Asset Manager plugin to a cabinet that is located on the same network as Security Center, you must connect the plugin to a local proxy.

What you should know

  • The local proxy is installed alongside the plugin.
  • Only one local proxy can be installed.
  • Best Practice: The proxy and the third-party key system should be deployed within a closed network.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool homepage, open the Plugins task.
  2. In the entity browser, right-click on the plugin role and select Add an entity > Key Systems proxy.

  3. Enter the following:
    Name
    Enter a name for the proxy.
    Description
    Enter a description of the proxy.
    Type
    Select Local.
  4. Click Save.

Results

The proxy is added to the entity browser, nested under the plugin role.
