Using the Camera Integrity Monitor dashboard widget, you can validate camera tampering events by comparing their reference thumbnail, event thumbnail, and current view. After a camera is fixed, you can trigger its thumbnail and data model to update at the next integrity monitoring check.

What you should know

WARNING: When you reset a camera using this widget, the system updates the camera thumbnail and data model with their state at the next integrity monitoring check. The system overlooks changes that occur in the time between when the reset is triggered and when the check starts.

Procedure

  1. From the Security Desk home page, open the Dashboards task.
  2. Select a dashboard with the Camera Integrity Monitor widget, and click Open.
  3. To update the current view for a camera, click the thumbnail in the Current row.
  4. Reset a camera that has been fixed after tampering:
    • In the Review view of the widget, click Reset for every camera that has been fixed.
    • In the Details view of the widget, click Reset for every camera that has been fixed, or if all cameras have been fixed, click Reset all.
