After fixing a tampered camera, you must reset the integrity monitoring feature on the camera so that the Camera Integrity Monitor can start with a fresh data model as reference.

What you should know

You must have the Config Tool and Modify camera properties privileges to perform this operation.
NOTE: It is best practice is to reset camera integrity monitoring using the Security Desk Camera Integrity Monitor dashboard widget.

Procedure

  1. From the Config Tool home page, open the Area view task.
  2. From the entity tree, select the camera that needs to be reset.
  3. Click the Video analytics tab and select Camera integrity monitoring.
  4. Set the Camera integrity monitoring switch to OFF and click Apply.
  5. Set the Camera integrity monitoring switch to ON and click Apply.

Results

The Camera Integrity Monitor re-creates the data model representing the 'normal' view of the camera.
