The KiwiVision™ People Counter module adds people counting analytics capabilities to the Security Center.

For more information on people counting and how it works, see Video Analytics 101 - How does people counting work?

The People Counter module includes two predefined video analytics scenarios: People counting and Crowd estimation.

The people counting scenario monitors the flow of people into and out of an area. The module does this by counting the number of individuals who cross a line in the camera's field of view.

The Crowd estimation scenario counts the number of people within one or more regions of a camera's field of view.

Using dashboard widgets, you can create a visual overview of the data collected by these scenarios to do the following:
  • Monitor and optimize the flow of people.
  • Gain insights into your business activity.
  • Display the people count in target areas to give you a clear picture of movement throughout facilities over a given period.
  • Observe, prevent, and control the flow and development of crowds in real-time.

NOTE: People counting dashboards cannot display statistics from the Tailgating detection scenario because that people counting scenario is part of the KiwiVision™ Security video analytics module.
