Object detection analytics can be used with optical or thermal cameras. The recommended object size varies depending on the lighting conditions.

Refer to the values listed in the following table as guidelines:

  • Constant conditions (for example, in an elevator): 5 x 5 pixels
  • Indoor scenario: Height or width of an object should be greater than 20 pixels
  • Outdoor scenario: Height or width of an object should be greater than 50 pixels
Minimum resolution (depends on object size and distance) CIF (352 x 288 pixels)
Minimum frame rate 1 fps
