You can use the Tailgating detection scenario to detect someone entering an area following someone else closely. Tailgating detection through people counting analytics uses cameras only, not sensors or access control.

NOTE: This scenario is available through the KiwiVision™ Security video analytics module.
This scenario is designed for monitoring doorways that restrict the flow of people. Detections are most accurate when cameras are mounted at a top-down angle, but tilted cameras can also be used for the Tailgating detection scenario.

The more people overlap each other in the video, the lower the accuracy of the analytics.

The following image shows a configuration of a Tailgating detection scenario where two people are detected crossing the counting line. The confidence levels of each detection are 75% and 92% respectively.
