A video analytics scenario is an analytics configuration that is applied to video streams and that defines what information in the video is analyzed. These scenarios help accelerate configuration of the KiwiVision™ Security Video Analytics and KiwiVision™ People Counter modules.
Several scenario types are available as starting points for analytics configurations.
Each predefined scenario has different default settings designed for a common use case.
If none of the predefined scenario types meet your needs, you can start from one of the custom scenarios, which have all the predefined scenario settings and more.
NOTE: The events
generated vary by scenario type. The events are listed on the General
page of each scenario.
For a full list of events generated by scenario type, see Events to monitor in Security Desk for KiwiVision™ modules.
Scenario categories
Scenarios are categorized by the video analytics module they fall under:
- KiwiVision™ Security video analytics
- Security video analytics scenarios include intrusion detection, object detection, and tailgating detection. Only intrusion detection and object detection scenarios have equivalent custom scenarios.
- KiwiVision™ People Counter
- The people counting scenario detects the number of people currently in, entering, or exiting an area. There is only one people counting analytics scenario available.
