You can use the people counting scenario to detect the number of people currently in, entering, or exiting an area.

This scenario is designed for indoor and outdoor scenes. Detections are most accurate when cameras are mounted at a top-down angle, but tilted cameras can also be used.
The following image shows a configuration for a people counting scenario:

You can display and monitor the people count statistics generated from this scenario on the Security Desk dashboards, using the following people counting widgets:

The people counting Charts widget displays the number of people who entered and exited an area within a specific time frame on a bar chart or line chart.
The people counting Occupancy widget displays the number of people currently in an area.
The people counting Throughput widget displays the number of people who either entered or exited an area within a specified time frame.
