After you connect the OnGuard plugin role to the OnGuard system, you must select which cardholder
information is imported through the proxy.
What you should know
Redefining the predefined cardholder field types using the FormsDesigner app from
OnGuard is not supported.
Procedure
-
From the Config Tool homepage, open the Plugins
task.
-
In the Plugins task, select the OnGuard plugin from the
entity browser, and click the Proxy settings tab.
-
From the Active cardholder requirement list, select the
type of cardholder that you want to import from OnGuard
into Security Center. This can be one of
the following:
- HasActivatedBadge
- Synchronizes any cardholder that has an active badge.
- HasBadge
- Synchronizes any cardholder that has a badge, regardless of whether
it is active.
NOTE: For this feature to work, you must go to and select the
Only active option
under
Personnel.
-
In the Inactive badge status field, enter the term used
to represent a deactivated badge in OnGuard.
This term is entered in the cardholder profile when it is deactivated in
Security Center, so when a
synchronization occurs, the OnGuard system can register
the cardholder as inactive.
-
From the Pictures list, select whether you want to
retrieve normal (full-sized) cardholder pictures or thumbnails through the
proxy.
NOTE: To receive thumbnails, you must have the thumbnail option enabled in
System Administration > Cardholder options > General Cardholder options >
Multimedia > Create/save photo thumbnails.
IMPORTANT: Cardholder pictures imported from OnGuard are stored in
the Security Center Directory
database. Synchronizing large numbers of cardholder pictures can impair
Security Center performance if
the Directory database is not hosted on a SQL Standard server instance and
the plugin server has insufficient resources. Before synchronizing
cardholder pictures from OnGuard, the number of cardholders and average
cardholder picture size and system resources must be taken into
consideration.
