To define who can access the floors within your building, you must configure security levels for each MCE floor marking.

Before you begin

Procedure

  1. From the home page in Config Tool or Security Desk, open the MCE Elevator security levels task.

  2. From the entity browser, select an MCE floor marking.

  3. In the Default access section, click one of the following:
    Secured
    The floor marking is accessible only to authorized cardholders.
    Unsecured
    The floor marking can be accessed at any time by any person.
  4. (Optional) To change the access level of a floor marking during specific periods, do the following:
    1. In the Access schedules section, click Add ().
      The Access level dialog box opens.
    2. Enter the following:
      Name
      Enter a name for the schedule.
      Schedule
      From the list, select a schedule to determine when this rule is active.
      Access
      Select Secured or Unsecured, based on the access required during the scheduled time.
  5. Click OK.
  6. (Optional) Repeat steps 3 to 5 to add more rules to the MCE floor marking.
    NOTE: If you have multiple schedules active at the same time where rules overlap, schedule conflict rules apply. For more on schedule conflicts, see About schedules.
  7. Click Apply.
