The MCE Sentry Destination Dispatch plugin integrates the MCE Sentry elevator system into Security Center, allowing users to monitor and investigate events related to MCE Sentry entities.
Administrator tasks using Config Tool
You can use the plugin to do the following:
- Add MCE floor markings and destination input devices as entities in Security Center.
- Configure access rules to provide cardholders and cardholder groups with access to MCE floor markings. For more information on cardholder configuration, see About cardholders.
- Create security levels for MCE floor markings, where MCE floor markings are universally accessible or accessible through access rules. Security levels can be set at all times, or on a schedule.
- Associate destination input devices, which are the kiosks used by cardholders to select their desired floor, to MCE floor markings or elevator cars.
- Associate destination input devices to the readers in your Security Center system. When a cardholder swipes their credential, the display provides a list of floors the cardholder has access to.
- Assign a home floor to each cardholder, so when they swipe their credential at a
reader, the elevator automatically brings them to their assigned floor.NOTE: This feature is typically used with readers that are located at turnstiles, but can be configured on any destination input device.
- Associate cameras to MCE floor markings and destination input devices to monitor live video.
- Assign the following call types to cardholder groups, so elevator cars can be
dispatched based on priority:
- VIP
- Hospital
- Handicap
- Visitor
- Use MCE Sentry Destination Dispatch custom events to trigger a specific set of automated system activities using the event-to-action configurations in Security Center.
