After you install a new Security Center system or promote an expansion server to a main server, you must activate your license. You can activate your license from the Genetec™ Technical Assistance Portal (GTAP).
These steps assume that you are familiar with managing system licenses and navigating Server Admin. If you need more information, the complete steps are available from Activating Security Center license manually.
What you should know
From Server Admin, click Save to file to generate the validation
- Open the System Management page on GTAP and find your system using the system ID.
On the System Information page, click Activate
- Select the validation key file and click Submit.
- When the License activation successful message is shown, click Download under License Key and save the license key to a file.

license key file and click Activate.
