If you forget your system password that is required for managing your license using web activation in Server Admin, you can reset the password from the Genetecâ„¢ Technical Assistance Portal (GTAP).

What you should know

The system password is specified in the Security Center License Information document that is provided by our Customer Service team when you first purchase the product.

Only some GTAP users have permission to reset system passwords from GTAP. If you do not see the Reset system password button, contact Customer Service or manage your license using manual activation in Server Admin instead.

Procedure

  1. Open the System Management page on GTAP and find your system using the system ID.
  2. On the System Information page, click Reset system password > OK.
    You receive an email with your new password.
